TJ Auto Engineering Manager.
Responsible for all Contract Inspectors at applicable TJ Auto inspection/sort location.
Ensures detailed inspection/testing/sort and /or rework instruction are followed results are correctly documented and forwarded to applicable Customer by contract and sent to TJ Auto headquarters inspecting, testing and reworking parts in accordance to established procedures from Customer or O.E.M given engineering standards.
· Develop and Modified work instructions at the job site.
· Review and update the accuracy of applicable documentation and engineering/boundary samples forwarded to all relevant TJ Auto personnel and they fully understand and achieved.
· Ensures all O.E.M and Customer drawings, specifications, boundary samples, color samples provided by TJ Engineer. Are available at point of use to applicable personnel and records and maintained.
· Ensures all Customer Supplied measuring test equipment calibration before use.
· Review data taken by contract inspectors are accurate before sent out to all interested parties to schedule as required.
· Ensures nonconforming product is adequately dispositioned and quarantined and the inspection status of Customer good is always clearly defined and known.
· Define Customer contract requires identification and traceability of their product.
· Reacts to the daily needs of the Customer in a professional and timely manner.
· Conduct the investigation to any escapes and non -conformances using documented procedures in a timely manner keeping the TJ Auto Engineering Manager clearly informed.
· Coordinate with Engineer and Management to ensure all Customer and /or internal systems to the QMS are in place and always followed, appropriate, and applicable documentation.
· Ensures TJ personnel contracted to do the work are competent, trained, and qualified. This includes sampling/ Auditing of contract inspectors work as necessary, and dependent on results discussing with customer and retaining personnel as required.
· Ensures that facilities and environment chosen by the Customer to carry out the work is adequate or escalate to the Engineering Manager for resolution.
· Ensures that headcount resources are adequate to meet tack time requirement to complete the contract or escalate to Engineering Manager for resolution.
· Maintain the TJ database, Reports and Work Instruction up to date.
· The T. J Automotive Supervisor at each Customer location reports directly to the Engineering Manager at TJ Auto.
· The TJ Auto Supervisor has full budget responsibility for all contract personnel at their location, is responsible for time sheets, security passes, PPE, and is the prime interface with the Customer at their specific location.
· The incumbent works to broad departmental objectives contained in the TJ Auto QMS and procedures and is required to exhibit a high degree of independent judgement and creativity only limited direction is required.
· As required by contract must pass drug-testing, police security checks etc.
· Comply with all Customer health and Safety rules.
· Oversee TJ Inspection/ Rework/ Sorting service and action Plan.
· Must have ability understand Customer and/or O.E.M blueprints, technical specification, and boundary samples, this includes a working knowledge of GDT. Must have working knowledge of SPC and be able to create I charts, X-R, Run charts, Pareto charts etc.
· Sound Knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques.
· Knowledge of ISO 9001 systems preferably basic knowledge of IATF16949.
· Excellent in written and oral skills plus knowledge of computers and program such as Microsoft office programs.
